Recently, I saw a blog post by someone who asked, "If Athiests are supposed to be so miserable, why am I so happy?"
 
He went on to describe his happy family life, his good job, his good health, etc.
 
I got a bit of a chuckle out of one of the replies  his post received.  Especially in  the 2nd paragraph.
 
"I have never heard that atheists were supposed to be miserable people. In fact, the opposite is true. The Bible says that if Christians have hope only in this life, then THEY are of all men most miserable.

( I have also read in the Bible, that the fool hath said in his heart, "There is no God." Fools have often been described as being happy people. I'm not saying this is the answer to your question, but you might want to give it some thought.)"
