I haven't visited in ages and plan to hang out and see who's still around. I wanted to pop in and mention Bukisa.  I joined it last week and it's much like a cross between ehow and an article directory except that you get paid for page views, get paid for those in your referral network.
It's owned by the site owners of articlesbase.com which is a highly respected article directory so I had no qualms about joining.  If you're interested, the Bukisa index varies from month to month but for instance this month it is 4.20 which means you earn 4.20 for every 1000 views.  People in your network earn you 25% of their earnings and people in their network  earn you 1/16th.
Not only do you earn on your own articles but you can use this to build links to your sites for SEO as well as put affiliate links in.  The site wants high quality content but seems very flexible about the types of how-to articles and even has an option for videos.
