Walt Disney World and Universal studios operate their own hotels right in the parks and their are many "brand name" hotels and motels located in the Central Florida area as millions of Americans have a few hundred miles to drive to visit and vacation in Orlando. Many people will be forced to take the Greyhound bus because of the ever increasing gasoline prices. John McCain is said to be "Reinventing the Republican party," the conservative political party that has as one of it's longstanding principles the devotion to "Free market Economies" not only in the United States but for the rest of the countries in the world as well, Iraq is a prime example. John McCain, senator from Arizona has been running for the Republican nomination for president of The united States since 1999. He was soundly defeated by George Bush in the 200 primary contest because his conservative credentials were successfully questioned. John McCain's long senate career has been dedicated to the process of how legislation is created rather than the drafting of landmark laws. John McCain's greatest Senatorial achievement was the passage of McCain-Feingold, law that is intended to limit corporate and nongovernmental organization's contributions to Federal election campaigns. The low point of John McCain's Senate career was the Keating Five investigation that occurred in the 1980's. Charles Keating ran Lincoln Savings a savings and loan company established in Phoenix, Arizona that was expanding nationally by selling "High Yield" bonds that were paying 10percent interest annually (when US Government Bonds were paying 4 percent) in the lobbies of the S&L's branches without informing the customers that they were not insured (guaranteed to be redeemable) by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Many of the buyers were American Savings and Loan elderly customers who assumed that because they were buying the bonds in a "Bank" lobby that they were the safe investments they were accustomed to. As time went by the bond market's "interest rates" rose and the "High Yielding Bonds" prices plunged to zero and American Savings was bankrupt. John McCain was cleared of any wrong doing that his friend and campaign contributor Charles Keating (who used some of the money he conned-out of retirees to contribute to "Pro Life" organizations) was convicted and sent to Federal prison for. The bad publicity from the "Keating Five" investigation and Senate Ethics Committee hearings caused John McCain to see the "Campaign Reform" light and his rudderless Senate career was given a compass that has guided him to his present campaign for President of the United States as a politician of the highest degree of integrity and honesty.
