Today the television and radio news is full of stories of murder, violence, mayhem, road killings (and I mean people) and such a litany of dreadful stories that I find it very scary. Scary that we seem to “accept” it all in a strange way.

Well that is one of the predictions for 2020.  That's what I heard.  It was on television, so it must be true.

I have posted on this before, but as another interstate visit with grandchildren (this time two of them) is looming, I am making preparations. I’m taking two sisters, one aged 7 (who was lost at the Adelaide Zoo last time we went) and the other aged 5. I’m thankful that there is a time lapse between each visit to my elderly parents as they grow up a little more!  read more »

As some folk might know I love taking photos and have been addicted to digital cameras for a while now. I'm on camera numbr 5 - worn out some and lost one, and now have two Nikon Coolpix cameras. (One as a back up as I have found on two occasions previously my camera has failed me when I really need it so I take two with me when I travel!)  read more »

OK, I confess. I've never seen Ms Spears perform - except for the news camera. I'm not in her "target group" I'm sure, and from what I hear on the news (if only 10% is true) I'm not impressed. Hardly good role model for our young people.

I recently stayed at a Bed and Breakfast establishment that knew I was a blogger. I'd sent them a link to Kramer's Diary as we wanted to have our dog stay with us.

The first morning we had breakfast with them, they shared this story. Apparently someone had Googled the name of the establishment and up came a photo of one of their suites.  read more »

I've missed Communati - but it is my work overload that has caused it! I mean, I have been so busy with all my other things that I've hardly had time to scratch myself.

Work has been a big issue - I seem to land jobs of "two days a week" that seem to want me to fill in when some folk are sick, or something. Then I have to rearrange my life, and it all gets so complicated.  read more »

I've been pretty busy so no time to write, but thought I'd fill in a few minutes with the sad story of Lucky the Hen, who obviously wasn't all that lucky.

There were 8 hens (or chooks as we call them sometimes). My son in law's brother moved and 'donated' them to him, and the two grand daughters loved feeding the hens, and collecting the eggs.  read more »
