I was standing at the pharmacy section of a well-known supermarket here in Las Vegas today, the beginning of the Memorial Day Weekend waiting for a prescription when I noticed a wall of items that made up the dividing line between the front and the back working area for the employees. There were just three items of many different brands that engulfed a huge space across the divide.  read more »

I am in the midst of moving from my old office to the one I am to occupy in our new wing. Among the things I found stored was a cache of old bulletin articles I had written in 1980.  I had kept them with some vague idea that I might compile them into a volume to submit for publication sometime in the future.  read more »

Doors with locks have a repetitive resonance in the lineage of our family. The more doors, the more locks, and naturally the more keys we have. Bill and I went to the beach down on Hatteras Island. We chose to stay in Hatteras village this year as oppose to our usual Avon beach house. What a wonderful choice!  read more »
