I have just been reading the Bible story in the last part of 1 Samuel 13 and into chapter 14. The situation has the Israelite army surrounded by the Philistines. The Israelites were vastly outnumbered and without proper weapons. Many of the army had already deserted. Things must have looked pretty bleak.  read more »

Last chance for those trapped miners in Utah...

Further news of trapped miners in Utah, USA.

A narrow hole is being drilled in the side of the mountain in Utah,giving a possible last chance for six trapped miners.

They are still trapped 500 metres down in the mine after two weeks.

If searchers fail to find any sign of life as expected, the resue effort may be ended and the Crandall Canyon mine turned into a tomb.  read more »
