Oil futures rebounded Friday as Pentagon officials said a large scale Israeli military exercise in the eastern Mediterranean early this month was intended in part as a demonstration of Jerusalem's ability to attack Iranian nuclear facilities.

Prices also rose as investors reconsidered whether Thursday's sharp declines, which were based on an announced fuel price hike in China, were merited.  read more »

We now have an energy crisis beyond any proportion in our American history. It's really our fault. We sat on our collective asses and let our government allow the contributors to their campaigns make hundreds of billions of dollars while eliminating subsidies for alternative energy over a decade ago.  read more »

OIL COMPANIES; WHITE COLLAR CRIME AT ITS WORST!

The recent surge in oil prices is the epitome in white collar crime. One cannot help but wonder how long people and politicians will sit idly by while oil corporations steal from the poor to fatten their overflowing wallets. On Friday oil hit $95.93, down slightly from Wednesdays high of $98.62 a barrel.  read more »

What if hydrocarbon-eating bacteria get into the world's oil supply?

Suffice it to say, you won't be driving your car as much as you did in the old days. And, if you heat your home with oil, you'll be cold.

Motorcycles And Cold Weather

It seems like every time I ride my motorcycle during the winter, I will inevitably hear a question about riding when it's cold outside. For one thing, I am principled. If it's below about 30 degrees, I usually will leave it parked in the garage. Second, it's not like I'm traveling 300 miles, it's just around town.  read more »

Time Has Come for Oil to Go

It has been decried long before the first Earth Day in the seventies and over thirty years later, we still allow our politicians, oil conglomerates, and irrational perspectives to rule our absurd interconnected world.  read more »
