This past Sunday, my pastor mentioned that a couple of years ago, while at the mall, he was admiring the nativity scene on display. He tried to affirm his feelings with a woman passing by when he commented, "this is nice, isn't it?" The response he got was, "why do they always have to bring religion into everything?" read more »
I haven't put up my Christmas decorations yet - we always do the tree late anyway. I usually have a hard time getting into things. I finally figured out the problem - the constant pressure to buy gifts and shop takes a toll on my enjoyment.

I was in a mall yesterday and noticed the number of people 3 weeks out from Christmas, a bit light. I then took further notice and saw over half of the families not carrying bags and wondered, "are people cutting back this year?" In our Politically correct society maybe we should re-think our major holidays, I mean we can't have religion and the state intermingled, can we?
