Ex-President Bush has gone skydiving again at the age of 83. Bush was celebrating the re-opening of his Presidential library. This is his 6th time he has gone skydiving and the first since 2004 when he jumped to celebrate his 80 birthday.
During World War 2 President Bush was a pilot and was shot down over the Pacific island of Chi Chi Jima before parachuting too safety. read more »
Several days ago Congress was successful at overriding a 'water projects' bill that President Bush had halted with a veto. The media and most democrats were feeling a sense of accomplishment about that. That is understandable, since President Bush has shown that he will use the veto. read more »

In my experience, I have never, ever, seen hateful rhetoric change anyone's mind. If that is the case, I can't help but wonder why people continue to use it.
Some recent comments to blog entries on this site have consisted of paragraph after paragraph of ranting and raving. (Especially if the original subject was related to our President, the war in Iraq, or political parties in general.) read more »
I amused by all the rhetoric going on with the Frost family and President Bush’s veto of the SCHIP bill. I think most of you on the left are missing the obvious in the deal. I will help you. Six years ago today 19 Muslim Middle Eastern men hijacked four airliners and crashed them into the WTC and the Pentagon. It was a brutal act of violence by a people that still to this day declare themselves to be an enemy of the United States. read more »
Consistent with the heart of the democrats, Senator Chuck Schumer came back from vacation ready to cut-down the U.S. troops. His words are cutting and it is hard to believe that any Senator of the U.S. could first of all say such a thing, and second of all get away with it. read more »
